Description

Original photo of Ty Cobb as a member of the Detroit Tigers, circa 1912. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type I photograph by PSA/DNA. Cobb is captured mid-swing during a game against the New York Highlanders at Hilltop Park. One of only three players to hit over .400 on three separate occasions, Cobb's lifetime batting average of .366 has stood the test of time. Additionally, Cobb won more batting titles (12) than any other player and is one of only two players with more than 4,000 career hits. The photo (8 x 6 inches) exhibits evidence of album removal on the reverse and a few unobtrusive creases. Very Good condition overall.
