Vintage photo of Babe Ruth being greeted by Lou Gehrig at the plate after hitting his famous "called shot" during Game 3 of the 1933 World Series against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type IV photograph by PSA/DNA. The reverse bears several stamps (including three "Brown Brothers" credit stamps) and editorial notations. It is interesting to note that this particular image on the offered photo was used in the production of Ruth's 1948 Swell Bubble Gum Sport Thrills card. Photos used in the production of trading cards have become increasingly popular in recent years. The photo (10 x 8 inches) exhibits scattered creasing and is in Fair condition overall.
