Collection of twenty-five pinbacks dating from the 1940s and 1950s featuring exclusively New York Giants Hall of Famers and stars. These pins, which were often available for purchase at stadiums during this era, are found in a number of different sizes and styles. Offered here are large and small format pins, seven of which have attachments connected to the pinback. Oftentimes, colorful ribbons and baseball-themed items, such as bats, balls, or gloves, were added to the pins, and this style is generally encountered less frequently and is more desirable among collectors. This collection consists of the following: Johnny Antonelli (2 pins): One 1.75" in diameter and one 2" in diameter. Dick Bartell (1 pin): 1.75" in diameter. Alvin Dark (1 pin): 1.75" in diameter. Ruben Gomez (1 pin): 1.75" in diameter. Monte Irvin (2 pins): Two different 1.75" in diameter pins, one of which has attachment consisting of ribbon and charms. Willie Mays (3 pins): Two different 1.75" in diameter pins, one of which has attachment consisting of ribbon, while the other has a charm attached; one 2" in diameter pin with attachment consisting of ribbon and charms. Cliff Melton (1 pin): 1.75" in diameter. Don Mueller (1 pin): 1.75" in diameter. Bill Rigney (2 pins): Two identical 1.75" diameter pins, one of which has attachment consisting of ribbon and charms. Bobby Thomson (3 pins): All 1.75" in diameter. New York Giants logo/slogan (8 pins): Two 3/4" in diameter pins; one 7/8" in diameter; one 1-1/8" in diameter; one 1-1/4" in diameter with attachment consisting of ribbon and charm; and three 1.75" diameter pins, two of which have attachments consisting of ribbons and charms. Condition is overall Very Good to Excellent, with some light fraying to the attachments or rust on the pinback reverse. This is a very attractive collection of these popular and desirable pins. Total: 25 pins.
