Description

New York Yankees game cap dating to the 1950s attributed to Hall of Fame manager Casey Stengel. The navy wool cap displays the Yankees logo on the front in white embroidery. A "Tim McAuliffe" label appears along the back of the interior leather headband, while the size "7-1/8" is stamped next to it. The cap displays a multi-cracked brim (a well-documented characteristic of Stengel caps) and heavy wear throughout.
