Description

Original news photo of Jackie Robinson and Ford Frick, circa 1950. Certified as an original Type I photo by PSA/DNA. Robinson is pictured receiving the H&B Silver Bat Award from Frick (who was serving as National League President at the time), awarded to him in honor of winning the 1949 National League batting title. The reverse bears a "Property of The Sporting News" stamp and several editorial notations. The photo (7 x 9 inches) displays scattered creasing and multiple patches of adhesive residue on the front. Good condition overall. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
