Original news photo of Mickey Mantle and Pee Wee Reese during Game 4 of the 1956 World Series. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type I photograph by PSA/DNA. This phenomenal action shot captures Mantle successfully stealing second base, with his number "7" prominently visible on his back, beating Reese's late tag. The Yankees would go on to win the game 6-2 and later win the historic series in seven games, securing the franchise's seventeenth World Series title. Although he played in twelve World Series, Mantle stole just three bases in the Fall Classic. The steal shown here was the first of those three. The reverse bears a newspaper clipping, an "Oct 8 1956" date stamp, and editorial notations.
