Description

Appealing example of this classic bakery card of Hall of Fame pitcher Cy Young as a member of the Boston Rustlers. This is one of Cy Young's most interesting and distinctive cards. Similar in design to tobacco and candy cards of the era, Brunners measure slightly larger than T206s, at 1.75 x 2.5 inches, and are considerably rarer than most 1910 era “E” and “T” card issues. The fronts feature attractive full-color illustrations, each of which is unique to this issue. The offered example has vibrant colors, excellent registration, and honest corner wear. The reverse featuring advertising for Butter Krust bread is boldly printed and clean. Graded POOR 1 by PSA largely due to heavy creasing. This is an attractive example of one of Cy Young's rarest and most noteworthy cards.
