Presented is a very sharp, high-grade example of Detroit Tigers Hall of Famer Ty Cobb from the 1911 Diamond Gum pinback series. Diamond Gum pins have long been recognized as among the rarest and most desirable of all early baseball pinback sets. To the best of our knowledge, there has only been one complete set of all 29 known Diamond Gum pins ever assembled! Graded NM 7 by PSA, the pin is crisp and clean. The original back paper on the reverse is intact and advertises "Get A Collection of Ball Player's Buttons Free With Diamond Gum." One of only two examples graded at this level by PSA with just one higher. A tremendous example of this important Hall of Famer from one of early baseball-pinback collecting's most revered sets.
