1961 New York Yankees ticket stub issued for the club’s 81st and final home game, against the Boston Red Sox on October 1, in which Roger Maris broke Babe Ruth’s single-season home run record. PSA/DNA has encapsulated the ticket and certified it as "Authentic." Maris’ epic blast, a solo shot, occurred in the fourth inning with one out against Tracy Stallard. Only 23,154 fans turned out that day, in what was otherwise a meaningless game between the two rivals. As a result, ticket stubs from the game are scarcer than one would imagine. This is just the sixth we have ever offered. The ticket stub (1.5 x 3 inches) displays heavy creasing. In Fair condition overall.
