Lot # 2182: 1946 Babe Ruth Signed Check PSA/DNA NM-MT 8

Babe Ruth personal check dated May 14, 1946, and signed by "G. H. Ruth" in black fountain pen along the base. PSA/DNA has encapsulated the check and graded the signature NM-MT 8. The check, drawn on the Chemical Bank & Trust Company of New York, is made out to his wife, "Sig Klein," in the amount of $13.38. Ruth's preprinted name appears along the left border. Two stamped endorsements appear on the reverse. Babe Ruth personal checks have long been a favorite of autograph collectors due to their inherent authenticity and the fact that Ruth’s signature is always well executed. The check (8.25 x 3 inches) has normal bank cancellation stamps and holes, along with a single vertical fold and a couple staple holes. In Very Good condition overall.
