Black-and-white Hall of Fame plaque postcard (Artvue, Type 1) of pitcher Cy Young signed by him in blue ink along the base. PSA/DNA has encapsulated the card, grading the card EX-MT 6 and the signature MINT 9. Cy Young is one of the most desirable of all signed black-and-white Hall of Fame postcards. Black-and-white Hall of Fame postcards were issued only between the years 1944 and 1963. Young was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1937, and he died in 1955. The postcard (3.5 x 5.5 inches), which is not addressed or mailed, has light corner wear. This is a desirable example featuring a strong signature, making it an ideal addition to any Cy Young or Hall of Fame collection.
