Lot # 2199: Signed 1946-1952 Albertype (Type 2) Black-and-White Hall of Fame Postcard Tris Speaker PSA/DNA MINT 9

Black-and-white (Albertype, Type 2) Hall of Fame postcard of Tris Speaker signed by him in black ink in the center of the card. PSA/DNA has encapsulated the card and graded the signature MINT 9. Black-and-white Hall of Fame postcards were issued only between the years 1944 and 1963. Though Speaker was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1937 and died in 1958, examples such as this are scarcer than one would imagine. This is just the sixth example we have offered in the past 21 years. The postcard (3.5 x 5.5 inches), which has not been addressed or mailed, displays light corner wear. In Very Good to Excellent condition overall.
