Black-and-white (Albertype Type 2) Hall of Fame postcard of Charles "Kid" Nichols signed in purple ink along the top border. PSA/DNA has encapsulated the card and graded the signature GEM MINT 10. This is one of the great scarcities among Hall of Fame signed postcards. Black-and-white Hall of Fame postcards were issued only between the years 1944 and 1963. Nichols was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1949 and died in 1953, leaving collectors with just a four-year window to obtain his signature on a Hall of Fame postcard. This is only the fifth example we have offered in the past 21 years. The postcard (3.5 x 5.5 inches) has a light crease and even corner wear. In Very Good condition overall.
