Original photo of Babe Ruth and Eddie Cicotte, circa 1920. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type I photograph by PSA/DNA. Ruth and Cicotte are captured sharing a laugh during a break in the action in a game between the New York Yankees and the Chicago White Sox at Comiskey Park. The reverse displays writing in black fountain pen. Among the notations is the date "Sunday, Aug. 1, 1920." On this day in baseball history, the White Sox defeated the Yankees 5-0 behind a five-hit shutout from Cicotte. Ruth went 0-3 with a walk. While we can't definitively confirm that this photo is from that game, it is certainly possible. The photo (8 x 10 inches) displays paper loss along the bottom-left corner and scattered light creasing. Very Good condition overall.
