Lot # 2397: Circa 1930s Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig Original Snapshot Photograph PSA/DNA Type I

Original snapshot-photograph of Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig, circa 1930s. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type I photograph by PSA/DNA. The black-and-white photograph captures the famed duo deep in conversation, sitting on a pole of a portable backstop, with Ruth holding a bat. There is a good chance that at this exact moment, these two Hall of Fame sluggers were discussing the science of hitting, although we'll never know for certain. Candid snapshot photos of either Ruth or Gehrig are extremely scarce. The fact that this example pictures them both makes it especially unusual and desirable. The photo (3.5 x 4.5 inches) displays a stray mark and stamp on the reverse. Excellent condition overall.
