Description

Vintage news photo of Lou Gehrig, used in the production of Gehrig's 1934 R310 Butterfinger card. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type III photograph by PSA/DNA. Despite its Type III status, it must be noted that this is a vintage print produced in the mid-1920s. Photos used in the production of trading cards have become increasingly popular in recent years. The reverse displays an "Underwood & Underwood" credit stamp, a few other faded stamps, and a strip of excess paper affixed to the bottom edge. The photo (6.5 x 8.5 inches) has a chipped top-left corner and light staining along the bottom border; Very Good condition overall.
