Description

Original news photo of Ty Cobb as a member of the Detroit Tigers, circa 1916. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type I photograph by PSA/DNA. The image captures Cobb sliding home with teammate George Harper watching next to the home plate umpire. Two credit stamps of William Kuenzel, a photographer from The Detroit News, appear on the reverse. A "The George Michael Collection" hologram label is affixed to the reverse. The photo (10 x 8 inches) displays two clipped corners, brown age spots along the top, and multiple edge tears. While technically in Poor condition overall, the photo retains strong clarity and visual appeal.
