Description
Original press photo of Ty Cobb as a member of the Detroit Tigers during the 1908 season. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type I photograph by PSA/DNA. The photo captures Cobb sliding into third base as Hobe Ferris of the St. Louis Browns leaps to snag a high throw. The credit stamp of William Kuenzel, a photographer from The Detroit News, appears on the reverse. The photo (7.5 x 7.5 inches) has multiple flaws common to nearly all working press photos, including a chipped top-left corner, scattered creasing, and editorial marks on the front. Good condition overall.
