Description

Original news photo of Babe Ruth as a member of the New York Yankees during the 1924 season. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type I photograph by PSA/DNA. The photo captures Ruth sliding home in a game against the Boston Red Sox at Yankee Stadium. An "United Newspictures" credit stamp appears on the reverse, along with the original paper news caption (which features a handwritten date of 4/15/24), a reference department stamp dated "April 28, 1924", and a pair of editorial notations. A "The George Michael Collection" hologram label also appears on the reverse. The photo (9.75 x 10 inches) displays a chipped top-right corner and a missing top-left corner. Good to Very Good condition overall.
