Original news photo of Hall of Fame slugger Babe Ruth as a member of the New York Yankees. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type 1 photograph by PSA/DNA. The photo captures Ruth being presented with the Davega Trophy on June 24, 1921. Awarded by the Amateurs of Baseball Federation, this very trophy today resides at the National Baseball Hall of Fame. A "Wide World Photos" credit stamp appears on the reverse, along with the original paper news caption dated "6/25/21" and multiple editorial notations. The photo (10 x 8 inches) exhibits a tear in the upper left (repaired by clear tape on the reverse), scattered creasing, and multiple chipped corners. While technically in Poor condition overall, the photo retains strong clarity and visual appeal.
