Original photo of Babe Ruth during the filming of Fancy Curves from the Play Ball short film series, circa 1931. Encapsulated and certified as an original type I photo by PSA/DNA. Ruth appeared in a series of five short instructional baseball films produced by his agent, Christy Walsh. The films, released by Universal Pictures, were titled Just Pals,Fancy Curves, Over the Fence, Perfect Control, and Slide, Babe, Slide. Ruth is captured offering swing pointers to a woman, while another, outfitted in catcher's gear, stands just behind them. The photo (8 x 10 inches) displays a paper caption and editorial notations on the reverse and editorial markings on the front. Very Good condition overall.
