Early 1950s Jackie Robinson daily dime bank. The colorful bank features an illustration of Jackie Robinson in a batting pose on the top, and encourages kids to "Save and Win with Jackie Robinson Daily Dime Register Bank." The bank received dimes in its side slot, with a dial on the front recording the date and cumulative amount of coins deposited. A panel on the bottom reads "Press Down at $5.00" (which was the savings goal and probably the bank's capacity). These type of banks were very popular at the time and featured various illustrations to entice kids to save. Today, the Jackie Robinson version is still one of the most sought-after examples by both bank and baseball collectors. The all-metal bank (2.5 x 2.5 x .5 inches) has a few light abrasions and scratches, as well as oxidation on the reverse. In Good condition overall.
