Description

Presented is a superb high-grade pair of complete sets of Kellogg's baseball cards from 1972 and 1974, with a total of 108 cards. Throughout the 1970s and early 1980s, the Kellogg's cereal company was the only true competition for Topps in the baseball-card market. These sets include dozens of stars and Hall of Famers, including Pete Rose, Willie Mays, Roberto Clemente, and Nolan Ryan. Of course, instead of having to buy only a stick of gum to get a stack of cards, you had to buy an entire box of cereal just to get one card! This collection consists of the following: 1) 1972 Kellogg's Complete Set (54 cards): Condition ranges from Nr/Mt to Mint, with a couple lesser. Keys: #1 Seaver (Vg-Ex+), 6 Rose (Mint), 20 Jackson (Nr/Mt), 49 Clemente (Mint), 54 Mays (Nr/Mt+). 2) 1974 Kellogg's Complete Set (54 cards): Condition ranges from Nr/Mt to Mint, with a couple lesser. Keys: #8 Ryan (Mint) and 38 Rose (Nr/Mt). This is an outstanding pair of complete sets from this classic food issue. Total: 2 sets, 108 cards.
