Graded EX 5 by SGC. One of only two examples graded at this level by SGC with none higher! Exceptionally strong N300 Mayo's Cut Plug of Hall of Famer Buck Ewing with Cincinnati. Ewing's Mayo Cut Plug card was first issued with "Cleveland" on his shirt in 1894, which was later changed to "Cincinnati" when he joined the Reds for the 1895 season. This is the later-issued "Cincinnati" variation. The card presents with a crisp and clear image of Ewing, light wear to the corners, and is centered to the left. Clean reverse displaying light wear along the top edge. This is a very attractive example of one of the most important cards in the Mayo set of key Hall of Famer Buck Ewing.
