Exceptional high-grade near-complete set (minus one) of 1954 Johnston Cookies, entirely graded and encapsulated by PSA. Missing only #5 Hank Aaron for completion (offered as an individual lot in this auction). This series was regionally issued in Milwaukee, with one card included in each package of Johnston Cookies. This near-set is composed exclusively of Milwaukee Braves players, including Warren Spahn, Eddie Mathews, and the rare Bob Thomson card. After his early-season injury (which gave Hank Aaron a chance to play regularly), Bobby Thomson's card was withdrawn, accounting for its scarcity and high value.
