Lot # 2381: Circa 1910s Ty Cobb Original Brown Brothers Photograph PSA/DNA Type I

Stunning original news photograph of Ty Cobb as a member of the Detroit Tigers. Encapsulated and certified by PSA/DNA as an original Type I photograph. Cobb is pictured standing on the sideline as he stares directly at the camera. Two "Brown Brothers" credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with Cobb's name written in pencil twice. Although no year is listed, the uniform style shown here was worn by the Tigers only in 1915. The photo (7 x 5 inches) is perfectly crisp and clear, with strong corners and edges. This is a remarkable image capturing Cobb! We have seen only a few examples of this image, and in our opinion, this is the finest!
