Lot # 58: 1926 W512 Strip-Card Uncut Sheet Including Babe Ruth

Attractive uncut sheet from the classic 1926 W512 strip issue highlighted by Babe Ruth and several stars of sport and film. The uncut sheet of 25 cards features five baseball players (#6-10) in the top row, including Hall of Famers Frank Frisch, Rogers Hornsby, Ruth, and Dazzy Vance. The balance of the sheet features cards of other sporting stars (including Bill Tilden, Walter Hagen, and Johnny Weissmuller), actors, and five boxers. Ruth is situated in the upper-left corner (Pr). The sheet (7 x 11-1/4 inches) has vibrant colors and virtually flawless registration. The sheet grades modestly due to multiple tears, missing pieces, and scattered creasing. This is still a very presentable W512 "strip-card" sheet in its original uncut form, featuring Babe Ruth and other highlights.
