Lot # 2996: Circa 1890s Emerson Shoe Stores South Portland vs Yarmouthville Scorecard

Fold-over promotional scorecard issued by the "R.B. Grover and Co. - Emerson Shoe Stores" for a baseball game between South Portland and Yarmouthville clubs, two independent teams from Maine, circa 1890s. The lineups of the players for each club are pre-printed on the interior scoring sheets. It should be noted that the attractive graphic image of the batter with a catcher and umpire is actually featured on the back cover of the scorecard when folded. The scorecard (5 x 6.75 inches), which is neatly scored in pencil, displays a heavy fold and light toning. In Fair condition.
