Lot # 2997: 1895 Atlantic City Baseball Association Scorecard

Fold-over scorecard issued by the "Atlantic City Base Ball Association" for a baseball game between Atlantic City and Bridgeton, two independent teams from New Jersey, in 1895. The lineups of the players for each club are pre-printed on the interior scoring sheets. The scorecard (7-1/8 x 11-1/4 inches), which is neatly scored in pencil, is extremely brittle and fragile. It displays two heavy horizontal folds (which have separated and are repaired with clear tape), chipping along the edges, and toning throughout, In Poor condition. (Please note this piece will get damaged with very little handling.)
