Description

Original news photo of Hall of Fame first baseman Hank Greenberg in 1940 as a member of the Detroit Tigers. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type I photograph by PSA/DNA. The photo captures Greenberg close-up in a swing-through pose. The original "Wide World Photos" news caption dated "11/5/40" appears on the reverse. The photo (6-1/8 x 8 inches) has a few light creases. Very Good to Excellent condition overall.
