Original news photo of the World Champion New York Yankees team during the 1936 season. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type I photograph by PSA/DNA. Eighteen team members are pictured posing together in the locker room, including Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio (rookie year), Joe McCarthy (Mgr.), Tony Lazzeri, and Bill Dickey. It is interesting to note that there are boxes of baseballs, two team photographs, and an autograph album visible on the table in front of the players. These items were being signed by the players at the time of this photo. An "Associated Press" credit stamp appears on the reverse, as does remnants of the original paper news caption and the date stamp "Sep 24." The photo (9 x 7 inches) has light creases and minor toning on the reverse. In Very Good condition overall.
