Presented is a complete set of one of the most overlooked (and compared to many other sets, most reasonably valued) classic bubble-gum card issues from the golden age of the 1950s. The #66 Ted Williams is the key card to the 1954 Bowman set and one of the legendary key cards among all postwar gum cards. The #66 Piersall and the scarce "black loops" variation of 10 Erskine are also included, as well as both variations of 103 Souchock and two of the three variations of 140 Rogovin (b and c). Condition is 15% Ex or slightly better, 63% Vg to Vg-Ex, and 22% lesser (including one with a slight miscut and eight that measure quite small). Keys: #1 Rizzuto (Gd+), 6 Fox (measures very small, otherwise Vg), 10a Erskine/black loops (Vg), 15 Ashburn (Vg-Ex), 45 Kiner (Vg+), 57 Wilhelm (Pr), 58 Reese (Pr), 62 Slaughter (Fr), 64 Mathews (Gd), 65 Mantle (PSA POOR 1), 66a Williams (Fr), 66b Piersall (Vg-Ex), 84 Doby (Gd+), 89 Mays (Gd), 90 Campanella (Vg-Ex+), 95 Roberts (Vg-Ex), 101 Larsen RC (Vg), 110 Schoendienst (Vg-Ex), 132 Feller (Gd+), 138 Hodges (Vg-Ex), 145 Martin (100/0 T/B, otherwise Vg+), 161 Berra (Vg), 164 Wynn (Gd), 170 Snider (Vg-Ex), 177 Ford (Gd+), and 196 Lemon (very small ink spot on reverse, otherwise Vg). This is a very attractive and mostly mid-grade complete set of this classic Bowman issue. Total: 227 cards (complete set of 225 plus two variations).
