Presented is a collection of fifteen (fourteen different) 1931 Metropolitan Studio St. Louis Cardinals cards. Issued as promotional vehicles for Metropolitan Studio of St. Louis, each card measures approximately 6.25 x 9.5 inches and features popular Cardinals team members in a sepia-toned image. The collection is highlighted by five Hall of Famers, including Jim Bottomley and Frankie Frisch. Condition is two Ex, Vg-Ex, two Vg, two Gd, and eight Pr to Fr (mostly Pr). This collection consists of the following: Blades, Bottomley (Vg, HOF), Collins, Frisch (Pr, HOF), Gelbert, Grimes (Vg+, HOF), Hafey (Gd, HOF), Haines (Pr, HOF), Hallahan, Johnson, two Mancuso, Orsatti, Rhem, and Watkins. This is a very presentable mixed-grade collection of this scarce regional issue that is sure to be of great interest to St. Louis Cardinals collectors. Total: 15 cards.
