Full ticket from "Roy Campanella Night," held on May 7, 1959, at the Los Angeles Coliseum. Encapsulated as "Authentic" by SGC. A total of 93,103 fans turned out that night to honor Campanella, who was confined to a wheel chair after having been paralyzed in an automobile accident a year earlier. The Dodgers played the Yankees in an exhibition game that evening, with the Dodgers' share of the gate donated to Campanella (the Yankees donated its share to various other charities). In a moving ceremony, Campanella, in between tears, told the crowd, "This is something I'll never forget. I thank God I'm living to be able to see it; it's a wonderful thing." The ticket (6 x 2.5 inches) has moderate wear, a few light creases, and evidence of album removal on the reverse. In Fair condition overall.
