Description

Official "Uniform Employe's (sic) Contract" dated February 11, 1943, between Ernie Banks and the Chicago National League Ball Club. Signed in blue fountain pen by team general manager "John Holland." The four-page agreement calls for Banks to receive a salary of $35,000 as a coach for the 1973 season. Banks served as the club's first base coach during the Cubs' 1973 campaign. The contract (8.5 x 11 inches) displays two horizontal folds and is in Excellent condition overall. Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA.
