Lot # 670: 1920 Zeenut PCL Sam Crawford with Coupon PSA VG 3 - The ONLY Graded Example!

Graded VG 3 by PSA. This is the only example ever graded (at any level) by PSA or SGC! This extremely rare 1920 Zeenut card features Hall of Famer Sam Crawford at the age of 40 playing for the Los Angeles Angels of the Pacific Coast League. Most Zeenuts are found with the coupon at the bottom neatly clipped away, which is understandable as the coupons were intended to be redeemed for valuable prizes, but this extraordinary example is complete with the original coupon intact. This is one of only three cards of Crawford issued during his playing days in the PCL (the others are the 1918 and 1921 Zeenuts). Crawford appeared in 187 games for Los Angeles in 1920, and he batted a sensational .332 with 12 home runs, 22 triples, and 46 doubles. The card displays bright colors, superb image clarity, and light corner wear. A few spots of light toning are visible on the front and blank reverse. This card would make a significant addition to any world-class collection.
