Description

Collection of 24 rare Zeenut PCL cards, spanning the years 1917 to 1936, representing eight different sets, each with the original coupon attached to the bottom. Zeenuts are scarce to begin with and rarely survive with coupons intact. The coupons were intended to be cut off by youngsters and redeemed for prizes. Condition ranges from Pr to Fr-Gd overall (including one with color added), with three better noted below. This collection consists of the following: 1) 1917 (2 cards): Farmer and Hannah. 2) 1919 (2 cards): Fromme and Spencer. 3) 1920 (3 cards): Mails, Schang, and Wilie (Vg+). 4) 1926 (1 card): E. Shea. 5) 1930 (2 cards): Porter and Zamlach (color added, otherwise Pr-Fr). 6) 1931 (3 cards): Pinelli, Posedel, and Ryan. 7) 1932 (1 card): Ballou. 8) 1933-1936 (10 cards): Caveney, Cole/with glove, Kamm, Marty/black sleeves, Norbert/small pose, Rego (Vg-Ex), Rhyne/front view, Stitzel/Seals (Vg), Thurston/Mission, and Wirts/large pose. This is a very substantial and rarely offered Zeenut candy card collection with coupons intact spanning three decades. Total: 24 cards.
