Description

Original photo of Brazilian soccer legend Pelé celebrating his 1,000th professional goal. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type I photograph by PSA/DNA. Pelé netted the milestone goal via penalty kick in a game against Vasco de Gama (Brazil) on November 19, 1969. The goal, which sparked a massive nationwide celebration, is known today as "O Milésimo." The reverse bears a printed caption (in Dutch), a "December 16, 1969" date stamp, and a few editorial notations. The photo (7 x 4.5 inches) is in Excellent condition overall.
