Description
Original news photo of legendary boxer Rocky Marciano in 1952. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type I photograph by PSA/DNA. Marciano is pictured doing calisthenics in the park, preparing for his upcoming heavyweight bout against Jersey Joe Walcott (Marciano won via a 13th-round KO). The reverse bears the original paper news caption and a "United Press Photo" credit stamp. The photo (9 x 7 inches), which has been trimmed to its current dimensions, exhibits scattered creasing and is in Very Good condition overall.
