Lot # 2506: 1940s to 1950s Brooklyn Dodgers Pin Collection (52) Including Campanella, Reese, Snider, and Hodges

Sizable collection of fifty-two pinbacks dating from the 1940s and 1950s featuring exclusively Brooklyn Dodgers Hall of Famers and stars. These pins, which were often available for purchase at stadiums during this era, are found in a number of different sizes and styles. Offered here are large and small format pins, eleven of which have attachments connected to the pinback. Oftentimes, colorful ribbons and baseball-themed items, such as bats, balls, or gloves, were added to the pins, and this style is generally encountered less frequently and is more desirable among collectors. This collection consists of the following: Sandy Amoros (1 pin): 1.75" in diameter. Joe Black (5 pins): Three different images and all measure 1.75" in diameter. Roy Campanella (5 pins): All 1.75" in diameter (three different images), two of which have attachment consisting of ribbon and charms. Brooklyn Dodgers logo/slogan (9 pins): Four 3/4" in diameter pins; one 7/8" in diameter; one 1.25" in diameter with attachment consisting of ribbon and charm; and three 1.75" diameter pins, two of which have attachments consisting of ribbons and charms. Condition is overall Very Good to Excellent, with some light fraying to the attachments or rust on the pinback reverse. This is a very attractive collection of these popular and desirable pins.
