Official program issued for the 1943 MLB All-Star Game. The exhibition, held at Shibe Park in Philadelphia on July 13th, was the first night game in All-Star Game history. The program features portrait images of players from each club, as well as the managers and prominent league officials. This was the first All-Star Game significantly impacted by World War II, with 14 players from the previous season's game serving in the military. As a result, the program includes several advertisements about the war effort, with many encouraging to "BUY MORE WAR BONDS." The program (8 x 9.5 inches), which is unscored, displays a vertical fold down the center and moderate handling wear. Very Good condition overall.
