Offered here is a group of popular titles, most of which feature Ruth on the cover, that would be ideal as part of a larger very substantial Ruth collection, or could serve as the foundation of a collection unto themselves. 1) Popular Science Monthly. October 1921. The 112-page large-format magazine (9 x 12 inches) features Ruth on the cover. Fr condition. 2) The National Poultry Journal. August 1927. The 16-page publication (8.25 x 11.5 inches) has a photo of Ruth and his daughter feeding chickens on the cover. Fr-Gd condition. 3) Strength. October 1927. Gd condition. 8) The American Boy - Youth's Companion. April 1935. The 50-page large-format magazine (10.75 x 13.75 inches) features Ruth on the cover. Fr condition. 9) Capper's Farmer. May 1935. The 64-page large-format magazine (10.75 x 13.75 inches) features Ruth on the cover. Pr condition. 10) Baseball Magazine. November 1935. The 48-page magazine (9.25 x 11.25 inches) features Ruth on the cover. Gd condition. 11) Babe Ruth Japanese Book. Published in June 1948 by Asage Shoin and was written by Shotaro Suzuki. This extremely rare Japanese baseball book, which is presumably a biography of Ruth, features a colorful portrait illustration of Babe Ruth on the cover. The book also features four interior photos of Ruth, three of which picture him as a member of Connie Mack's All-America Baseball Team during the celebrated 1934 Tour of Japan. That tour is historic due to the fact that it was the only overseas baseball tour made by Ruth during his career. With his fame on the diamond preceding, he was treated like royalty in Japan. The overwhelming popularity of the tour helped foster the formation of Japan's first professional baseball league shortly after. This book was most likely published shortly after the tour in order to capitalize on his celebrity status. The 194-page soft-cover book (5 x 7.25 inches) displays minor handling wear and is in Very Good to Excellent condition overall. The stunning cover illustration of Ruth makes this book an extraordinary piece for display. 12) The Saturday Evening Post. February 14, 1948. The 128-page large-format magazine (10.75 x 14 inches) features an article of Ruth on the interior pages. Gd condition. 13) Baseball Stories. Summer 1950.
