Lot # 2100: Sam Thompson Handwritten and Signed Postcard - PSA/DNA

Presented is an extremely rare Sam Thompson handwritten and signed postcard, originating from the great-great niece of the nineteenth century Hall of Fame outfielder. The postcard, dated "Detroit 3/10 05," is inscribed and signed in the hand of Sam Thompson. The postcard is addressed to "Miss George Anne Blair" and reads "Baby Blair first Birthday. May she have many is the wish of Sam & Ida" (Ida was Sam's wife). Both the text and signature have been scripted in black fountain pen. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA as Authentic. The postcard (3.5 x 5.5 inches), which has not been stamped or mailed, displays moderate handling wear and is in Excellent condition overall. This is a significant example with impeccable provenance worthy of even the most advanced nineteenth-century or Hall of Fame signature collection.
