Lot # 2111: 1912 Rube Marquard Signed Photograph with "19 Straight Wins" Inscription - PSA/DNA

Vintage photo of Hall of Famer Rube Marquard as a member of the New York Giants signed by him in black ink along the front. Marquard has added the inscription "19 Straight Wins, 1912" below his signature. Marquard opened the 1912 season winning 19 straight decisions and finished the campaign with 26 victories. The reverse displays Marquard's name penned in blue ink along the top edge along with patches of light toning and discoloration. The photo (8 x 10 inches) has a few small creases and is in Very Good condition overall. Basic certification from PSA/DNA. Also accompanied by a COA from PSA/DNA.
