One-page, typed letter, dated December 29, 1936, signed by Hall of Fame manager Connie Mack in black ink. The letter has been framed together with a black-and-white photo (modern print) of Mack. In his letter, on official "American Base Ball Club of Philadelphia" letterhead, Mack writes to a fan who had expressed interest in acquiring autographs from members of Mack's team. In full: "Dear Mr. Mullen: Many thanks for the congratulations that you have extended me on my birthday also note the great collection of autographs that you have arranged thru baseball players. Now in regards to getting other autographs from ball players am going to advise that you will until our club returns from the spring training trip and then if you desire the autographs of my players will be pleased to get same for you in the event you are not able to do so yourself. Pleased to note the interest that you have taken in baseball and with kind regards, I remain, Sincerely yours, Connie Mack [signed]." The letter (8 x 6.75 inches, visible dimensions) displays one horizontal and two vertical folds, a pair of punch holes, and a small stain in the lower left ; apparent Good to Very Good condition.
