Lot # 2150: 1937 Lou Gehrig Handwritten and Signed Government Postcard - PSA/DNA

Government postcard handwritten and signed by New York Yankees Hall of Famer Lou Gehrig. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA with the signature certified as "Authentic." Gehrig has inscribed "Dear Julie / Many thanks for your kind letter, and may I extend to you my best wishes / Lou Gehrig" on the reverse of the postcard in black fountain pen. The front of the postcard is addressed and bears a postmark dated "New York, N. Y. Oct. 2 1937." Gehrig's signature is scarce, but extensive handwritten notes as offered here, are few and far between. The postcard (5.5 x 3.25 inches) has a piece of clear tape on the address side, a couple creases, and a touch of paper loss along the top edge. In Fair condition overall.
