Lot # 2154: 1937 New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers Multi-Signed Album Page with Gehrig, DiMaggio, and Greenberg - JSA

Vintage "Autographs" page featuring the black and green fountain-pen signatures of six members of the 1937 World Champion New York Yankees, plus three signatures of Detroit Tigers players. The nine signees featured are Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, Lefty Gomez, Red Ruffing, Tom Henrich, Red Rolfe, Hank Greenberg, Charlie Gehringer, and Jo-Jo White. The date "Sep 20 1937" is stamped in red ink at the top of the sheet. Powered by DiMaggio's league-leading 46 home runs and 167 RBI and Gehrig's equally impressive totals of 37 home runs and 159 RBI, the Yankees easily captured their second consecutive World Championship (of an eventual four) in 1937. The sheet (5.5 x 9 inches) displays a single horizontal fold, a few light creases, small tears, and a small discoloration near the bottom edge. In Good condition overall.
