Graded VG 3 by SGC. One of Jim Thorpe's most sought-after cards, from one of the most popular sets of the 1930s. This example features bold colors, a strong image of Thorpe, and honest corner wear. Clean reverse displaying a few tiny surface scratches. Please note that there is a wrinkle on the front that runs from the top edge into Thorpe's head and extends into his shoulder. Sport Kings are the most popular multisport set ever produced. This 1930s gum-card issue includes champions from many fields of sport, including baseball, football, basketball, boxing, hockey, and even dog sledding.
