Complete 48-card set of the R55 Frank Buck "Bring 'Em Back Alive" series, issued by Gumakers of America in 1938. The Frank Buck "Bring 'Em Back Alive" series was based on the adventures of Frank Buck, the world's greatest hunter, and the fascinating stories of his encounters with the ferocious beasts of the jungle. Also included is an original 1934 "Official Handbook for members of Frank Buck's Adventurers Club." The booklet shows a pinhole in the cover, otherwise grading Vg-Ex. Six cards have been professionally graded and encapsulated by PSA: #2 (VG+ 3.5), 17 (EX-MT 6 [OC]), 20 (EX 5), 25 (EX 5), 30 (VG-EX 4), and 40 (VG-EX 4). The condition of the forty-two card balance is Vg to Vg-Ex overall, with a couple slightly higher and lower. This is a very attractive mid-grade complete set of one of the era's most popular nonsport-card issues. Total: 48 cards plus handbook.
