The 1954 Topps set has always been one of the most popular sets of the 1950s. Issued in the heart of the decade, the set features the rookie cards of Hank Aaron, Ernie Banks, and Al Kaline, along with many other Hall of Famers and stars, including two examples of Ted Williams (first and last cards in the set), all in brilliant color. Includes the following twenty duplicates: #6, 8, two 15, 16, 18, 20 Spahn, 25 Kuenn RC, 33, 38, 40, 41, 48, 58, 62, 67, 147, 195, 245, and 247. Condition is 15% Vg-Ex to Ex, 60% Gd to Vg, and 25% Pr to Fr (including three trimmed and one altered). We have selected four cards for grading and encapsulation by SGC. Keys: #1 Williams (Pr), 3 Irvin (Vg), 10 Robinson (Fr), 13 Martin (Fr), 17 Rizzuto (Gd), two 20 Spahn (Pr and trimmed, otherwise Pr), 30 Mathews (Vg), 32 Snider (Fr), 36 Wilhelm (Gd+), 37 Ford (Gd), 45 Ashburn (Pr), 50 Berra (trimmed, otherwise Fr-Gd), 70 Doby (Vg), 90 Mays (VG/EX 4), 94 Banks RC (Pr), 102 Hodges (Vg), 128 Aaron RC (POOR 1), 132 Lasorda RC (pencil mark on front, otherwise Gd), 201 Kaline RC (VG+ 3.5), 239 Skowron RC (Fr), and 250 Williams (VG/EX+ 4.5). This is a very presentable medium- to lower-grade complete set of this early 1950s classic. Total: 270 cards (set of 250 plus 20 duplicates).
